This Privacy Policy explains how Tropical Glitz Inc. ("Tropical Glitz," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit tropicalglitz.net (the "Site"), make a purchase, subscribe to our communications, or otherwise interact with us (together, the "Services"). It also explains the choices you have about your information and how to exercise your privacy rights.

Our Site is hosted on Shopify. We do not use cookies or similar technologies for advertising or analytics until you accept them through the cookie banner shown when you first visit the Site. You can change your choices at any time using the "Manage preferences" option in the banner or the links in the footer of the Site.

Personal information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information. "Personal information" means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with you or your household.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law (such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation, or health data), and we do not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those listed here.

We collect device and usage information from every visitor for security and to make the Site work. We collect it for analytics and advertising only after you accept those cookies.

Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies ("cookies") on the Site. They fall into four groups:

When you first visit the Site you see a cookie banner. Preference, analytics, and marketing cookies are not set, and no data is sent to those partners, until you click "Accept." If you click "Decline" or close the banner, only required cookies are used.

You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Manage preferences" in the banner, or by using the cookie settings link in the footer of the Site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings; if you block required cookies, parts of the Site may not work.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, as described below. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them; GPC is the signal we recognize.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only as described here. We do not sell personal information for money.

Advertising and analytics partners. When you accept marketing or analytics cookies, the following partners receive device and usage information (such as your IP address, pages and products viewed, and cookie identifiers) directly from your browser. They may use it for their own purposes, including to build profiles and show you ads on other sites. This counts as "sharing" or a "sale" under some U.S. state laws even though no money changes hands, and you can opt out at any time (see the next section).

Other disclosures. We may also share personal information to comply with law or legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tropical Glitz, our customers, or others; in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business; or with your direction or consent.

Targeted advertising and your right to opt out

We use advertising partners to show ads for Tropical Glitz products on other websites and apps based on your activity on our Site ("cross-context behavioral advertising" or "targeted advertising"). This happens only if you accept marketing cookies.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws in other states, sending your device and usage information to these partners may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You have the right to opt out at any time, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

You can opt out in any of these ways:

1. Click Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information in the footer of the Site and submit the request.
2. Click Manage preferences in the cookie banner and turn off marketing cookies.
3. Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or a browser extension. We treat a GPC signal as an opt-out request for that browser.
4. Email us at support@tropicalglitz.net with the subject line "Opt out."

Your opt-out applies to the browser and device you use to make it. If you clear cookies or use a different device, you may need to opt out again. If you have an account with us and are logged in, we also apply your opt-out to your account.

We have no actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal information. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have most or all of them:

• Know and access. Ask what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we use it, and who we share it with, and receive a copy.
• Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, we keep order records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes).
• Correct. Ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising. See the section above.
• Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information, so this right does not currently apply.
• Non-discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights.

How to submit a request. Email support@tropicalglitz.net with the subject line "Privacy request," call (786) 383-3013, or write to us at the address at the end of this policy. Tell us which right you want to exercise and the email address or phone number associated with your orders. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days; if we need more time we will tell you why and extend once by up to 45 days.

Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on an access, deletion, or correction request. We usually do this by matching the details you give us with the information in our records or by sending a confirmation link to the email address on file. You may name an authorized agent to make a request for you; we will ask for proof that you gave the agent permission and may still contact you directly to confirm.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. We will respond to appeals within 45 days. California residents may also contact the California Privacy Protection Agency at privacy.ca.gov.

Email and text message marketing

We send marketing emails only if you subscribe through a form on the Site, opt in at checkout, or create an account and agree to receive them. You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email.

We send text messages only if you give your phone number and separately agree to receive texts, either at checkout, through a signup form, or by texting a keyword to us. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Messages may include order updates, cart reminders, and promotional offers. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@tropicalglitz.net. We keep a record of your opt-in and opt-out so we can honor your choice.

Retention, security, children, and changes

Retention. We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order and payment records are kept for at least 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics and advertising data is kept for the period set by the relevant partner (for example, Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months). We may keep some information longer where the law requires or to resolve disputes.

Security. We use Shopify's PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure, encryption in transit, and access controls to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children. The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites. The Site may link to third-party websites and social media. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the Site.
