Usage Guidelines

Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or debris before application.
Application: Apply a thin, even coat of Dux Quick Dry Oil Size to the desired area using a brush or applicator. Avoid overloading the brush to prevent drips.
Drying Time: Allow the oil size to dry until it becomes tacky, which typically takes about 1 hour.
Gilding: Once tacky, apply the metal leaf to the surface. The gilding window will remain open for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the ambient conditions.
Finishing: After applying the metal leaf, gently burnish or smooth the leaf to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finish.
Clean-Up: Clean brushes and tools with appropriate solvents immediately after use.
Note: Adjust the application process based on local weather conditions for optimal results.

Works great really makes my project for my black trim on my 24 mustang gt pop without being too bright. I do recoment a paint can shaker if using the aresol version. The flake likes to settle. I have a rotary one for my drill and one for my sawzall. Gets the pearl nice and mixed.

I did it wrong and it STILL looks awesome!

I'll start by saying I did everything you could the wrong way because I didn't have much choice. I sprayed these outdoors, on a cooler day, during the windiest November I can remember.

That said, this kit exceeded my expectations and I am certain that in the right conditions you can expect a near perfect finish. The color coat is a little tricky until you realize your spray pattern HAS to be short bursts followed by a shake of the can. Just do it, shake more often than you would normally do even using metallics. Once you do, it's all gravy from there on. And the 2k Glamour coat is awesome, straight up awesome.
