I followed the suggestions from the folks at Tropical Glitz and I was very pleased with the results. I applied 3 coats of black sandable primer, using gray scotchbrite pads after each coat. I followed that with 4 coats of Seductive Blue candy base coat and then 4 coats of Spraymax 2 coat clear. It was a small project (rifle stock) and was surprisingly easy once I heated my workspace up to about 75-80 degrees F. I would definitely use Tropical Glitz products again. They were very helpful along the way since I was new to candy paints.
Color is beautiful but unfortunately it’s so dark you can’t really tell it’s green unless you have direct light on it otherwise looks black bummer since it’s so pretty
Had a lot of fun with the 6 different blue colors i bought will definitely order more colors
I’ve airbrushed this as well as candy apple candy. Goes on smooth without a hitch! No reducing or stopping to free up a clogged needle! Love this stuff!
Really like this color. I used a few drops in 4 ounces of resin to make a frog and it came out amazing. I like how well the RTS paints work in resin.
Awesome paint and color!! Sprays perfect right out of the bottle using one of my GHAD=39 Gaahleri Air Brushes!
Beautiful color! I added some blue lagoon flakes and it looked amazing!!
Love your paints and colors! Any new colors coming out soon?
I work with custom painted or vinyl covered guitar bodies as a side hustle.
My experience with ProXL is the fast time allowed between coats and final cure time before final sanding.
Crystal clear and super hard finish is what sold me on this product.
I use nothing else now on these custom guitar bodies!
This paint is awesome!!!! The cosmic black goes on smooth and looks good so far. I’m not a professional but for my first time painting I think it’s gonna turn out good. It’s all in the prep so they say but quality paint doesn’t hurt. Can’t wait till I use the eclipse purple…
